What is friulian flag?

The Friulian flag is a regional flag of Friuli, an autonomous region located in northeastern Italy. It consists of a vertical tricolor of blue, white, and red with the symbol of the "pomegranate" in the center. The blue stripe represents the sky, the white stripe represents the snowy peaks of the Alps, and the red stripe represents the blood of the people who fought for the region's freedom and autonomy. The pomegranate symbol is derived from the historic coat of arms of Friuli. The flag was officially adopted in 1996.
